My Dog Whines

A Whining Dog is Trying to Communicate

Do you have a whining dog? A whining puppy?
Are you going crazy from the constant whining? Hang in there, help is available.

What do you think if I say that your dog is trying to communicate with you by whining all the time? What if your dog is also stressed out by it?

Why is your dog whining?
There are several reasons why your dog might be whining, but the most important one is that you and your dog have misunderstood each other.

The dog thinks it needs to whine to get your attention all the time (which it probably does), and you likely tell it to stop, etc., and do the best you can. But it feels like it’s not enough with a dog that whines constantly.

Whining dog, whining owner – What are our roles in the pack?
To understand what goes wrong when you have a whining dog, we need to understand our different roles in the pack. With the Amichien® Bonding method, you learn the dog’s language and can therefore communicate with your dog about what the roles should be.

If you learn to speak your dog’s language, you can eliminate all the whining from your relationship.

When does the dog whine?
When I talk about whining dogs, I mean dogs that whimper, talk, or make other noises. If you’re wondering whether your dog is stressed, you can read more here. A whining dog is usually also stressed and may show it in different ways.

Your dog whines to get your attention, especially when:
– it’s restless and can’t relax
– it wants to interact with you
– it wants to go outside and is used to being let out when it whines
– you’re sitting on the couch with your partner
– it thinks it’s time to get up
– it’s left alone at home or alone in the store
and there are many other reasons.

Whining puppy – what do I do?
Did you just get your puppy, and now it’s whining? An 8-week-old puppy may have a strong need for closeness and comfort since it’s used to being with a lot of siblings and its mom. But even your little puppy is good at dog language and is talking to you.

It’s not so important why but how you can help your whining dog or puppy. We want both ourselves and our dog to be able to relax and not feel like it has to whine constantly to be seen. Contact me to learn more about how we can help you and your dog.
