Roles in the pack

My name is Celest, and I’m a certified Dog Listener. I’ve been guiding dog owners since 2013.

I help you understand your dog and what you can do differently in your relationship.

I’m the right support for you if you’re open to learning something new — even if you feel like you’ve already “tried everything.”

Roles in the Pack — Dogs and Humans

I got my first dog when I was 20 years old. Before that, I had spent many years walking my neighbors’ dogs and a lot of time at a riding school.

I have always felt at home around animals and had a strong sense that I was meant to work with both animals and people.

My path first led me to earn a Master’s degree in Psychology and Communication at university.

There, I gained a deep understanding of human behavior, and together with my two coaching certifications, I also guide people as a coach.

But back to the dogs.

In 2013, I discovered the Amichien® Bonding method developed by Jan Fennell and trained as a Dog Listener.

I had found my way into the lives of dog owners. Even more importantly, I was able to help my Ridgeback overcome her fear of loud noises — a challenge we had struggled with for 10 years — in just 6 months.

This method has helped me with all my dogs and the challenges we’ve faced, including:

  • fear of loud noises

  • stress after rehoming

  • pulling on the leash

  • not being able to walk off-leash

  • a shy dog who had bitten a person

  • separation issues

  • difficulties with dog-to-dog encounters

  • reluctance to go on walks

The biggest change of all is that I understand my dogs.

I understand where they are coming from and how they think in terms of the pack.

Just like us humans, dogs have strong instincts and are constantly communicating with the world around them — through a silent language.
That is the language I teach you as a dog owner.
