What is Amichien® Bonding?

Many dogs struggle to cope in our human world because of the signals we, as dog owners, unconsciously send them. This often leaves dogs with too much responsibility and decision-making in an environment that isn’t natural to them. As a result, problems and challenges can arise in everyday life with your dog.

Amichien® Bonding (AB) is a way of living with your dog by understanding your dog’s natural instincts so that you know how to help them handle everyday challenges.

It’s a conscious, daily choice to honor your dog’s true nature and their way of communicating.

AB is developed by Jan Fennell and is based on four basic principles:

Status – understanding social structure

Hunting – how the pack moves together

Food – how meals are shared and managed

Danger – who watches for threats and makes decisions

Who is the decision maker in the pack? These are questions your dog needs answers to on a daily basis to cope and thrive in a, often confusing, human world.

Clarity and understanding in the pack

AB focuses on understanding the dog’s silent language and where it comes from. Jan Fennell spent decades studying wolves in the wild i Yellowstone, learning from scientists and also studying her own pack of dogs.

Essentially she discovered the language canines use to assert each other and ultimately keep the peace and survive in a pack. For that is the main purpose; to survive. Once you understand this fascinating 'behind the scenes' language, You'll be must better equipped to help your dog cope in our human world.

The method draws inspiration from “horse whisperer” Monty Roberts, who studied wild horses to understand how to communicate with them in their natural language.

Foundation of trust and understanding in the dog pack
Amichien® Bonding builds the foundation with trust between you and your dog and ALL dogs know this language by instincts, hence it is never to late to upgrade your communication with your dog.

The method views family life through the lens of a pack structure, helping dogs feel secure and cooperative by showing them a clear and gentle leadership role.
